Clay, craft, and time
Charlotte Leroux crafts each art piece by hand, either on the potter’s wheel or using slab construction.
From raw clay to the moment it emerges from the kiln, each piece goes through numerous steps before taking on its final form.
The technical skill involved, production and drying times, the choice of raw materials, and the application of engobes or glaze—all these steps contribute to the several weeks it takes for a piece to be achieved.
